Let’s go on a RoadTrip…

10 days on the road

Day 1: Melbourne (28 Nov)

Day 1 of the RoadTrip kicked off in Australia’s city of culture, Melbourne, where the YouTubers got the chance to meet their Australian fans at the first of three Gatherings. In typical Melbourne fashion, the weather was less than perfect but that didn’t stop the Melbourne fans turning out in their thousands to meet their favourite vloggers!

Day’s 2-4 of the RoadTrip were spent in sunny Sydney. Here the YouTubers were taken on a brewery tour, given surf lessons by professional Billabong babe Felicity Palmateer and best of all climbed the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. We also squeezed in the first of three challenges (involving Koala onesies), and of course had our biggest Gathering to date in Sydney.

Day’s 5-6 saw the YouTubers head out to iconic Uluru (Ayres Rock) where we had an epic surprise in store – Harley Davidson rides around the base of the rock! Up early to watch a spectacular sunrise, we then learnt about Uluru’s rich Aboriginal history, and visited nearby Kata Tjuta national park. The Uluru experience was finished off with a memorable champagne sunset over the infamous red rock.

True to form, the YouTubers all faced their fears and made the leap, despite more than a little initial hesitation! Once the adrenalin had calmed down it was time to hit the Great Barrier Reef to get up close and personal with the incredible marine life including a particularly friendly giant groper!
